Open Fiber has renewed its UNI/PdR 125:2022 certification for its gender equality management system for 2026. The renewal consolidates a process launched in 2023 that has become a cornerstone of the company’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategy.

Open Fiber is a leader in the construction and management of Fiber to the Home networks. It has connected 17.4 million properties through FTTH infrastructure extending for more than 168,000 kilometres across Italy.

The company says its ability to support Italy’s digital transformation depends not only on technological and infrastructure investment, but also on the people who contribute to its growth every day. Open Fiber therefore promotes a workplace where expertise, inclusion and equal opportunities are essential drivers of sustainable value for communities, businesses and local areas.

Within this framework, gender equality is more than a guiding principle. It forms part of a broader sustainability strategy that shapes the company’s decisions, from employee development policies to organisational processes, while supporting the creation of long-term value for people, communities and territories.

This commitment is reinforced by Open Fiber’s participation in the United Nations Global Compact, which encourages businesses to incorporate universally recognised principles concerning human rights, labour, environmental protection and corporate responsibility.
