A significant economic support for Italian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) has been announced by Intesa Sanpaolo. A €20 billion plan is being developed to help SMEs in the sectors of commerce, craftsmanship, and tourism. The project includes the reduction of transaction fees on physical payments up to €20.
For small businesses, the bank has earmarked up to €100 million over 14 months. The plan was presented today in Milan by the Bank of Territories' Division, where Executive Director Sales & Marketing for Enterprises Anna Roscio highlighted that 'Our country is made vital by small entrepreneurs who transmit between different generations the Italian know-how and enrich the production chains.' The presentation also hosted Carlo Sangalli, President of Confcommercio, Bernabò Bocca, and Marco Granelli, who were entrusted with the system's pact.
Stefano Barrese, the head of the Intesa Sanpaolo Division of Territories, has emphasized that 'The system pact signed today with Intesa Sanpaolo for the growth of small businesses and territories is of great importance.' This significant economic support is due to the increasing pressure on costs, as demonstrated by Intesa Sanpaolo's initiative to strengthen competitiveness and address some of the current challenges, such as energy costs, digital tools, and specialized training. Intesa Sanpaolo wants to turn to a market that currently faces a significant increase in costs; we have wanted to put forward new measures, which are not only credit but also support from the perspective of income and flows,' said Stefano Barrese. Furthermore, Intesa Sanpaolo has signed agreements
With Confcommercio, Federalberghi, and Confartigianato, which define the system pact. This pact refers to significant economic support for Italian small and medium-sized enterprises, essential for their growth and development.
