Tper President Giuseppina Gualtieri presented the company’s 2025 financial statements, saying: “The company’s financial strength allows us to report positive results.” Councillor Campaniello added: “The record subscriber figures show that residents continue to place their trust in us.”

Gross operating profit stood at €30.8 million, falling to €16.8 million after depreciation, amortisation and provisions. In its 14 years of operation, the public transport company has invested €600 million, 60% of which—€360 million—came from its own resources.

“The company’s financial strength allows us to report positive results,” Gualtieri said. “We are looking to the future with the utmost commitment to services that put people first and increasingly feature intermodal solutions. We believe dialogue among institutions, businesses, the research community and workers’ representatives is essential to building mobility systems that are increasingly sustainable and accessible, and capable of supporting the development of local communities.”

Although the tram project is not included in Tper’s accounts, Gualtieri announced: “More than 130 of our drivers, out of the 200 we expect to need, have already signed up for training to operate the tram.” Regional Mobility Councillor Irene Priolo also recognised the company’s organisational efforts and stressed the need “to continue working towards an increasingly integrated transport system.”
