Trump Media is launching Truth API, a service that will give professional traders access to Donald Trump’s posts several milliseconds in advance. The goal is to monetize content capable of moving markets.

TMTG, controlled by the Trump family and owner of the social network where Donald Trump has about 12.9 million followers, describes the service as another step in its strategy to “monetize proprietary assets,” according to interim CEO Kevin McGurn.

The company says the new system will allow professional clients to view the president’s messages with enough of a time advantage for automated trading systems to exploit. APIs, or application programming interfaces, enable software systems to communicate directly with one another, eliminating the delays involved in manually monitoring the platform.

The initiative comes as Trump’s posts have become increasingly influential in financial markets. In recent months, statements about geopolitics, trade tariffs, economic policy and relations with Iran have triggered sharp price swings, generating movements worth billions of dollars across major assets.

Quantitative funds and algorithmic trading firms react automatically to new information, rewarding those able to act first.
