Critical readWhat happened. The GTC (Global Technology Conference) of Nvidia, a leading hardware producer for artificial intelligence, took place in Berlin this month. The event featured CEO Jensen Huang as its main protagonist, presenting new projects and announcing new development works. Huang also engaged in discussions with European national authorities, promoting Berlin as a potential hub for the AI industry.
An event that saw international political leaders and Neocloud robots was characterized by a negative evaluation of the company's products.
[NVIDIA](https://www.nvidia.com/) announced the creation of a new data center solution that can be transported on regular roads. This solution, called 'Neocloud', was introduced during the Berlin GTC and received significant attention from the media.
Huang has declared that this solution is destined to accelerate the availability of artificial intelligence data centers, addressing the significant infrastructure needs that emerge from an anticipated market investment of approximately $7.6 trillion by 2031. At the Global Technology Conference (GTC), international political leaders were also present, including Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Andy Burnham, French President Emmanuel Macron, and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. Huang noted that his strategy involves accelerating the production of data centers, which are considered costly and complex operations.
Huang has highlighted that cloud computing could be a way to solve this problem since it offers a faster and more efficient solution compared to traditional data centers. However, Huang warned that it should not be underestimated the difficulty of managing large investments in the AI sector. He said: 'If we look at the foundations, requesting a lot of capital is a problem that shouldn't be underappreciated.' Then he added that companies entering the AI market are looking for opportunities with smaller data centers like the one offered by NVIDIA. NVIDIA also announced a new version of its AI compute solution called Vera Rubin, which consists of racks of computers that can be transported on ordinary roads.
Huang has stated that this new version is designed for use in emergency situations where system effectiveness can be increased. GTI has also seen a negative shift in its product evaluation of the company. CoreWeave, one of the companies involved in the AI market, reported a 10% loss by the end of the day, while Nebius lost 7%. These losses are interpreted as signs of doubt about current funding options for the AI market. Huang reassured investors, saying: 'Despite the large amount of capital desired to invest in the AI sector, there is a scarcity of capital available to fuel this boom'.
Huang then added that NVIDIA is working with many of the companies involved in the AI market to find opportunities for smaller and more expensive data centers. In conclusion, Berlin's GTC saw the presence of international political leaders and cloud robots, but also a negative turn in evaluating the company's products. Huang promoted Berlin as a possible reference site for the AI industry, but warned that it should not be underestimated the difficulty of managing large investments in the AI sector.
