Meta has increased its investment spending by $130 billion to $145 billion in 2026, surpassing previous expectations of $135 billion. The company also announced the creation of a non-voting stock class, which will be distributed to its shareholders through an equity dividend. Members of the non-voting stock class will receive one additional share for each current share, representing a two-share split.

Meta expects that the new stock class will be available for the first time in January next year. These decisions demonstrate Meta's confidence in achieving positive results from its efforts to invest in AI. CEO Mark Zuckerberg stated that their investments are 'taking shape' and that the business foundation is strong, with significant improvements in performance over the past few weeks.

Additionally, Meta reported that the fourth-quarter earnings will be between $73 billion and $76 billion, surpassing expectations of $73.6 billion. The company's revenue exceeded expectations, reaching $3.83 per share during the period, surpassing expectations of $3.57. In the past five months, Zuckerberg has reinforced his strategy of advancing in the race for artificial intelligence, including investing thousands of billions of dollars to build necessary infrastructure to support models and reorganizing its AI unit under the leadership of Alex Wang.

In September, Meta launched Muse Wonder, a new AI model with frontier capabilities that exceeded Zuckerberg's expectations, stating that this new phase should focus on the scalability of the new model.
