The Italian labor market is facing increasing vulnerability due to advancements in artificial intelligence and aging population trends. According to Indeed's hiring lab, there are significantly fewer daily job applications than average posted ads. The hardest engineers to find specialize in system or component reliability.

Most job offers concentrate on Piedmont where they account for 27% of total posting, and Emilia-Romagna which collects 22%. Technological professions have fallen by more than 70% compared to national averages. In software development and IT, daily responses show notably lower values than the mean.

It isn't less either the health and assistence sector, where daily responses also show notably lower values than the mean both for pharmacists, technicians, and medical professionals. Following data from Indeed's Hiring Lab shows that the number of lowest daily job applications for engineering industrial and electronics jobs was down 76% below the mean, 72% below for software development, 71% for pharmacy, and 70% for mechanical engineering. Information design and research showed a decrease of 68%, technician shown a decrease of 67%, civil engineer with a decrease of 60%, mathematics and statistics with a decrease of 58%, beauty and wellness at parity with medicine and surgery.

Geographically speaking, Lombardy is under pressure as it has the highest volume of postings across all sectors making difficult to fill positions.
