Leonardo is expanding its strategic partnership with Microsoft Italy and launching an ambitious program to advance the Group’s digital transformation through initiatives focused on innovating workplace tools and practices. Developed with Microsoft, “Digital Horizon – A New Era of Collaboration” provides the framework for introducing the Microsoft 365 cloud productivity platform and generative artificial intelligence across the company. The initiative aims to foster new forms of collaboration and support the gradual integration of AI into working processes by harnessing Copilot’s capabilities.

Digital Horizon marks a significant step in Leonardo’s digitalization journey. Around 50,000 people across the Group will gain access to modern workplace tools within Microsoft Teams, enabling real-time collaboration and more seamless and effective mobile working. Documents and communications will be synchronized through Microsoft OneDrive and Outlook on Microsoft’s cloud.

Employees and teams will also have continuous access to an AI assistant integrated into the company environment. Microsoft 365 Copilot will support content creation, analysis and summarization within a trusted and secure framework.

The partnership between Leonardo and Microsoft extends beyond the implementation of advanced technology to include a strong focus on training. The program will help Leonardo employees navigate the new digital ecosystem through short training modules, guidelines and support resources.
