The President of the Board of Directors of the World Bank has emphasized the importance of maintaining vigilance even during periods of significant resistance. 'The global economic resilience is evident, but it cannot be allowed to lose its calm,' he declared during a press conference. 'We have reached this result, which demonstrates that our decisions have been successful.'

Al-Jadaan called attention to current problems such as wars, energy risks, food security risks, weak public debt, and risks associated with rapid artificial intelligence development. He said that the World Bank had reached an agreement on a statement that clearly shows that all members are in agreement with it.

Al-Jadaan emphasized the need to strengthen fiscal reserves while protecting vulnerable populations and growth-enhancing investments. He requested to continue the central economic and political focus that benefits private growth and investment. Additionally, Al-Jadaan emphasized the importance of increasing support for countries facing temporary financial challenges due to war consequences and high energy prices. 'Our starting point is clear: there is no room for complacency,' he declared.

Kristalina Georgieva, the General Director of the World Bank, emphasized that the meetings were productive but there were concerns about the growing divergence between rich and poor countries. 'These meetings have once again shown that in a world of repetitive shocks and geopolitical fragmentation, multilateral dialogue and cooperation remain desired,' she added.

The World Bank also highlighted the importance of ending wars and conflicts to ensure sustainable and long-term development. 'Poor countries are not necessarily at an advantage if they lose time trying to reach a level of competition they cannot reach,' he added.
