An investigation that led to the discovery of a destroyed body. The inquiries into the death of Abby Choi have had their first outcome in the discovery of a destroyed body in the house of her husband, Alex Kwong Kong-chi. The detectives responsible of the investigation said that the police were forced to enter the house when they noticed a disinfectant smell coming from the room of Choi, similar to a hospital diary.

The investigator responsible reported that the police came into contact with the house on February 24, 2023, shortly after Choi was killed. He also noted that the windows of the house were completely covered by black tesserae, preventing external visitors from seeing inside. The detectives then noticed two bowls of pasta and two legs, which later had to be transferred to a mortuary for further examinations.

This was followed by a lawsuit against Choi's ex-husbands, Alex Kwong Kong-chi and Anthony Kwong Kong-kit, who were prosecuted for Choi's death in January 2023. Choi's father, Kwong Kau, contested an accusation of having prevented Choi's burial. The detective responsible reported that the police entered the house only after receiving information that a Toyota Alphard used by Choi on February 21, 2023, was seen parked outside the crime scene.

The detective reported that he noticed a very strong disinfection smell when entering the house, similar to that of a hospital. The detectives then reported that the killer of Choi was a conflict of interest between Choi's family and her husband's family. The ex-husband of Choi, Alex Kwong Kong-chi, stated that he received attorney power from Choi's father to sell his house, but this transaction was planned by him himself.

This incident has developed in an area famous for its art and design society, where the murder was allegedly linked to a conflict of interest. This story led to the discovery of a destroyed body in the house of her husband, Alex Kwong Kong-chi.
