San Diego Comic-Con took place over the weekend and, as usual, brought a wealth of news from the worlds of film, television and video games. Marvel unveiled its next Ghost Rider, played by Ryan Gosling, and Black Panther, played by David Jonsson. Release dates were also announced for God of War: Laufey, arriving February 16, and the fourth and final season of Silo, due in summer 2027.

For those following from home, however, the best part of SDCC each year is the trailers. The 2026 edition did not disappoint. Fans saw the first footage from the highly anticipated cyberpunk series Blade Runner 2099 and Neuromancer, alongside a new interpretation of a Stephen King classic and the return of several beloved animated titles.

Amazon first revealed in 2022 that it was developing a series set in the Blade Runner universe, but several years passed before audiences received an initial preview. Blade Runner 2099 takes place 50 years after the most recent film and stars Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer.
