Early retirement can also be requested even for the weeks that are missing from the conditions necessary for its implementation. Workers who have passed the NASpI but are not yet enrolled in retirement can request to make voluntary contributions as if they were real. This procedure is possible even for former employees, since their condition of unemployed is considered sufficient to satisfy the contribution requirements.

The authorization to make contributions is sought at the INPS with an online application, which can be submitted just after completing the NASpI. The process includes certifying the right to early retirement, which must be presented in 2027 together with the pension application. The conditions for early retirement have been reformed starting from May 6, 2026.

Now, workers authorized after 1995 can make weekly contributions equal to 33% of the average monthly salary of the last year of work, reduced to the INPS contribution class. With a monthly salary of 30,000 euros, approximately 577 euros per week, the weekly contribution is 188.20 euros per week: approximately 376 euros for two weeks and 565 euros for three. The minimum is 80.76 euros per week.

Voluntary contributions are paid quarterly, within the next quarter following the reference quarter, as provided by art. 8 of DLgs. n. 184/1997. Since May 6, 2026, payments are made only online, with the paymentPA generated by the INPS Contribution Payments Portal. For a worker authorized after 1995, the weekly contribution is equal to 33% of the average monthly salary of the last year of work, reduced to the INPS contribution class.

This means that people in this case could make weekly contributions equal to 188.20 euros per week, equivalent to approximately 376 euros for two weeks and 565 euros for three. The weeks of NASpI, credited with figurative contributions, are excluded from the coverage of missing weeks for early retirement. Moreover, workers authorized can also make weekly contributions even for the years preceding the pension application, since there is no need to complete the conditions necessary for its implementation.
