3 billion euros in managed assets and 11 active funds mark the official launch of 21 Next, a groundbreaking European alternative asset management platform operated by the Edizione group. Following the preliminary agreement from November 2025, regulatory approvals from the European Commission, the Autorità di controllo dei mercati (ACM), Bankitalia, and the Autorité des marchés financiers have been obtained. 21 Next emerged from the integration of 21 Invest, established in 1992 by Alessandro Benetton, active in private equity across Italy, France, and Spain, and Tages, created by Panfilo Tarantelli and his associates, one of Italy's leading operators in the renewable energy sector. Alessandro Benetton will serve as President, while Panfilo Tarantelli will hold the CEO role. 21 Next is controlled by Edizione with a 55% stake, and the remaining 45% is held by founders Alessandro Benetton, Panfilo Tarantelli, Umberto Quadrino, and Sergio Ascolani, along with senior management from both 21 Invest and 21 Tages.

The platform's primary goal is to surpass 10 billion euros in managed assets over the coming years, supported by 500 million euros in seed capital provided by Edizione to drive its growth. The four main investment focuses of 21 Next are private equity, energy transition, infrastructure, and private debt. This move represents a significant step in building the new Edizione, which is increasingly taking on an industrial character, according to Alessandro Benetton. 21 Next was created to interpret the future of private markets, built to grow, innovate, and create value over the long term.

We aim to be a reliable partner for entrepreneurs, investors, and management, accompanying them in the construction of sustainable and long-term growth paths, according to CEO Tarantelli. For us, this means making the future possible, shaping it with pragmatism and vision. After the regulatory clearance, the closing has occurred.

The organizational structure was defined to ensure strategic consistency between the two historical groups. Alessandro Benetton, founder of 21 Invest, assumes the role of President, while Panfilo Tarantelli, founder of 21 Tages, holds the CEO position. This hierarchy reflects the vision of a single entity combining the consolidated experience of Italian private equity with specific expertise in the renewable energy sector.

The integration is not only financial but also operational, allowing 21 Next to act as a single interlocutor for major infrastructure and energy transition projects. The initial capital of 500 million euros represents a significant investment for the platform, destined to support the growth of its 11 active funds. This sum is crucial for entry into complex markets and for managing alternative assets that require high-level capital.

The presence of 100 consultants and professionals indicates operational maturity achieved before the official opening, ensuring solid technical support for clients. The 55% stake held by Edizione and the 45% held by founders creates a balance of power that favors stable decision-making. This structure allows Edizione to maintain strategic control while delegating operational execution to the founding families.

The industrial approach intended to be adopted aligns with the vision of transforming the future of private markets.
